It’s scenario Saturday! A new villain with goals unaligned to your current villain arrives. They are starting to gain traction in their motives. What does your villain do about it? Here is my answer, which was too big for twitter, as my answers often are. 🙂 ANSWER: My villain, being cunning and strategic, would carefully assess the situation before taking any action. They would first gather as much information as possible about the new villain and their motives, trying to understand their strengths, weaknesses, and potential impact on their own plans. Once equipped with this knowledge, my villain would weigh the potential consequences of either confronting or collaborating with the new villain. They would consider factors such as the stability of their current position, the level of threat posed by the new villain, and the potential advantages of aligning with or neutralizing them. If my villain perceives the new villain as a significant threat to their own goals, they would likely take proactive measures to hinder or eliminate them. This could involve gathering allies or manipulating circumstances to turn others against the new villain, thereby leveraging their rivals to work against the emerging threat. On the other hand, if my villain sees potential benefits in collaborating with the new villain, such as acquiring valuable resources or forming a temporary alliance to achieve a shared objective, they would exploit the opportunity. This could involve offering mutual support, striking a deal, or even playing both sides against each other to further their own agenda. Ultimately, my villain’s response would depend on the perception of their own interests and the potential impact of the new villain’s rise. They would make calculated moves, deploying their wit, influence, and resources to secure their position and ensure that no rival disrupts their ultimate goals.
